Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In an unforeseen turn of events, train operations on the Howrah-Bandel railway line came to a standstill on Monday morning following the discovery of cracks in the tracks. The decision to suspend train services was made after a crack was identified around 7:30 am on line number six near Seoraphuli station in the hatuganj area. Swiftly responding to the situation, railway authorities initiated track repair work promptly.
The impact of the track issue was evident as several trains were halted on the down line at Seoraphuli station. To mitigate the disruption, some trains were cautiously maneuvered on the reverse line, while others were rerouted through alternative tracks to reach Howrah. A team of railway engineers has been deployed to the site to assess and address the track damage, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the railway line.
